FAORITE ANIME CHARACTERS- KURAMA, HIEI, KENSHIN, YAHIKO, SOUJIROU

RUROUNI KENSHIN AND SAMURAI X (WHICH ARE BASICLLY THE SAME THING) ARE MY FAVORITE OF ALL TIME ANIME SHOWS! IF ANYONE DENYS THAT THEY ARE GOOD SHOWS, I'LL CUT THEM IN HALF WITH MY SAKUBATOU WHICH KENSHIN PERSONALLY GAVE TO ME YESTERDAY AS A COMING OF AGE PRESENT! *SNICKERS*
HIMURA KENSHIN

Name: Tocole
Favorite Anime Shows: DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, Outlaw Star, and, of course, Rurouni Kenshin!
Favorite Anime Character: in the above shows, as listed: Gohan, Kurama, Jim Hawking, and my favorite of all, Yahiko

I have to say that Rurouni Kenshin is one of the best animes in the world, if not the best! I used to be an avid DBZ fan, but when they introduced the Buu Saga, I lost interest. I was looking for a new show to bulk up on, and Kenshin popped into my life. For those of you who are looking for an anime with action, drama, great characterization, comedy, and intense battle scenes, this is the show for you! Rurouni Kenshin covers all those aspects, whereas many animes only concern about one or two. It has great teachings, as well, such as only fight for those you love, so parents can't complain much about it, either. The characters are believable, not god-like or perfect, and have the most lovable of personalities. And the fights in this show far surpass DBZ. At least they don't show the same thing over and over again, huh? As for comedy, you can't get enough of it! There is some laugh out loud humor in Rurouni Kenshin, humor I was thankful to see in an anime. I understand that some of the edits of CN are a bit over due, and I wish they'd just leave in a bit of blood so that I could believe what is going on instead of being left in the dark when their wounds just vanish. However, that doesn't diminsh my love for Rurouni Kenshin, and I am happy that it has finally found its way into the hearts of American fans. I add it to my list of favorites, and so should all you other anime lovers!

Name: Sanosuke Yo!
Age: 11
Fave Animes: Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Ranma 1/2 and a few more

Rurouni Kenshin may be one of the best anime series I've seen in a long time. I have looked for series like this for awhile, it reminds me of Inuyasha in allot of ways. The charecters are deep and the comedy is acually funny. I recomend this to anyone who likes samurai or Ranma 1/2 and Tenchi Muyo type comedy. The Dub (I've only seen the Cn one) is great, I found Sanosuke's voice to be perfect. Kenshins felt a bit strange but it fits him. With 95 eps, I'm going to buy them all. While I have only seen a portion of Rurouni kenshin, I cant seem to find anything to be dissapointed with or to be remotly confused about. Kenshin is much like Trigun's Vash and Yu Yu Hakusho's Kurama, he is deep, scar-ed and a wonderer.

Cartoon Network: Edits

This is where we'll post daily the edits we came across in the airing. This might take time, as we'll have to go back and rewatch the airing as well and the DVDs. So be patient with us. The edits will go in the order that they happened and will be explained as one of the following:

  • Scene Edit: This is where they cut a scene or part of a scene for whatever their reason
  • Line Edit: Where they replace a curse word ot alter any of the lines with something else. Ex: Gohei says: 'I'm going to send you to hell!' Edit: 'I'm going to send you to oblivion!'
  • Line Removal: When they totally remove a line, duh. ^_^
  • Blood Edit: When they get rid of blood, duh. ^_^
  • Airbrush Edit: When they remove or add something such as cigar/cigarette smoke or clothing from a scene/character.
  • Sound Effects Edit: When they remove the sound of blood or breaking bones.

Note: The removal of the opening/closing scene will not be counted as an edit as they either cut the opening or they condense the closing. Intresting to say they used opening theme animation with a different closing theme then the normal one. We're also not counting title changes, title template changes or the removal of English translations. Also, these are the dubbed lines...this has nothing to do with the subbed version, obviously.

We hope this explains everything. So continue if you dare.
