This is the place for all the other characters in the series that really don't fit anywhere else. Some charcters just refuse to be put in any catagory at all.
We first encounter Shura for the first and only time in episodes 25-27 commonly called the Crimson Pirate Arc. She's a woman of spirit and honor and very dedicated to her crew, if only her crew was as loyal. Her father was the previous captian and she took over on his death. Kenshin seems to be rather fond of her, if not having fallen in love with her at first sight. He admired her spirit and dedication and he was able to help her when her crew turned on her. While she's only a filler character, Shura, embodies many of the same qualities as Kaoru and many of the other women in the series. She's a character to be admired and should be given more credit.
Doctor Gensai is Ayame and Suzume's grandfather, he also uns the local medical clinic. It's under his eye that Megumi is able to finally take up the ways of medicine again. His role maybe small, but he's there to help with medical needs at the beginning of the series. He's also looked out for Kaoru since her father died. He's dedicated to her safety as well as to his medical practice and his grand-daughters.
Tsunan also known as Katsu or rather Katsuhiro is the only other remaining member of the Seki-houtai and was a close friend of Sano's during his time with Captain Sagara. He's an artist, bomb maker and later turns to making a newspaper. Him and Sano cause some trouble but in the end, like Sano, Katsu is able to see the wrong that he's been doing thanks to Kenshin.
